Jubilee Church Held The Father’s Day Service And Church Picnic

June 21 | 2018

On June 17, Jubilee Church in Nashville offered The Father’s Day Sunday Service and the sermon was preached from Psalms 128:1-6 and Ephesians 5:21-33 titled, “Blessed the man who fears the Lord.”

The message highlighted the Fear of the Lord as an essential foundation of the family and the important role of the fathers and husbands to walk in obedience to God. The blessings of the fruits of labor, wife, children, and long-life are promised for the man who fears the Lord.

Also, the Apostle Paul’s instruction for wives and husbands was preached. The commission and role of the wives are to submit to their husbands just as the churches to the Lord and the husbands love their wives just as Christ loved the church by giving himself up. This mystery of love is clearly revealed in Christ and we are all to called to fulfill this order of love in the family.

After the service, the members went to Hamilton Creek Park at Percy Priest Lake for the church picnic. The lunch barbecue was served by Brother Sam, and the members could have a joyful time of group activities and fellowship together.
