On January 14, 2018, Jubilee Church held the second Sunday Service of January and the sermon was preached from Ephesians 6:10-20 titled ‘Put On the Full Armor of God.’
We may feel as if what is happening outwardly is a real thing, but there is always a mastermind at the behind. This passage is teaching us a very important lesson that we are in a real spiritual battle, our struggle is against the spiritual forces of evil ones, and Christians are in the position of soldiers who are at the fierce battle.
In a battle, the most important part is to aware who I am fighting against and we must be fully equipped. Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, we should neither fight with short-temper, the worldly knowledge nor physical strength. Just as Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 6:10, we must be strong in the Lord and in God’s almighty power by putting on the full armor of God.
Apostle Paul introduced every piece of God’s armor including the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, footwear of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, helmet of Salvation, and the sword of the Spirit and prayer so that we can stand firm even when the days of evil comes.
In the end, he requested the believers in Ephesus to pray for him so he can fearlessly preach the mystery of the Gospel. Though he was physically in chains, nothing could confine his spirit as he had an abundant freedom from Christ and he endlessly shared the Gospel.
Jubilee Church members were sharing their own struggles during the table fellowship and their personal experience of 40 days walk from the past and current ones. Nashville Church requests prayers for members to join and pray for 40 days evangelism and outreach that a revival can happen in the church and members’ life during this period.
